Washplant Alternatives

For small scale miners that are just getting started in production, a full size washplant may not be affordable.  MSI will be offering a lower cost alternative for recovering alluvial gold from sands and gravels, which will consist of a series of vibratory wet screens.  Pictures of this equipment will be available soon.

Another component of the leading edge technology we offer our clients are custom excavator modifications for gold mining operations that allows you to process materials directly from the excavator bucket.  The pictures below illustrate a "Washout Bucket", which can effectively retain the larger gravels while washing out the gold and finer material.  A smaller or midsize excavator that is equipped an oversize bucket with one of these innovative devices can efficiently process large volumes of material, and the only additional equipment you need is two water pumps and a large sluice to recover your gold.

High pressure water is fed into the bucket through a series of nozzles, washing out the fines into a large sluice.  Vibratory action can be added to this process to improve and enhance separation.  This alternative is a great way to start mining seriously, without a large investment of funds; and is also ideal for exploration and test sampling.  Excavators with these buckets are available in most any size, and are offered exclusively through our company.  Please send your questions regarding this technology to any of our Email links, and we will be happy to give you the details.
